Chandrababu Naidu: Doubling Per Capita Income Can Uplift Poor
AP CM Chandrababu Naidu made the statement during a meeting with officials of NITI Aayog held at the AP Secretariat.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu believes that if India achieves a 15 percent annual growth rate, per capita income can be doubled every four years. This is in addition to uplifting the poor if the suggested growth rate is achieved.
Naidu made the statement during a meeting with officials of NITI Aayog held on Friday at the AP Secretariat. The meeting was attended by CEO BVR Subrahmanyam, who presented the draft Vision of Viksit Andhra Pradesh 2024 to the CM. Both parties had a detailed discussion on the draft Vision of Viksit Andhra Pradesh 2024.
Chandrababu Naidu took to his official social media account to share the details of the meeting.
“Today, I met with a @NITIAayog Team led by CEO BVR Subrahmanyam, who presented the draft Vision of Viksit Andhra Pradesh 2024. We're working on a poverty-free Viksit Andhra 2047 with the support of NITI Aayog. Our vision aims for a 15% annual growth rate and doubling of per capita income every four years. We plan to adopt a top-down approach and prioritize demographic management, renewable energy, skill upgradation, poverty eradication, port development, product clusters, airport expansion, growth hubs, and establishment of AI hubs,” read a post on his X account.
Naidu also promised that he will work towards helping India achieve the growth figure to eliminate poverty using the latest technologies.
Talking about AI, Naidu said that he will ensure that Amaravati and Visakhapatnam emerge as AI hubs and plan to establish an AI university in AP.
AP Minister Nara Lokesh, along with Chief Secretary Neerabh Prasad and officials from various government departments, were also present at the meeting.s
